High energy source
KWS Feedbeet is an energy-rich feed consisting of highly palatable and digestible carbohydrates, such as sugar, pectin and hemicellulose. This improves the energy supply of rumen microbes and thus increases the amount of metabolisable protein. Which in turn has a positive influence on the milk protein content.
As a high energy/kg DM source, KWS Feedbeet can compete well with barley grain in the ration. As a result it could replace cereals / cereal based concentrates in the ration and is an ideal balance to grass which supplies protein (see table below).
Compared on a per hectare basis, KWS Feedbeet clearly shows an advantage over fodder beet, being able to deliver up to 16% more metabolisable energy (ME) per ha. This further underlines its value in promoting enterprise performance.
